Mental Health

Feeling down or anxious is a common experience, but if it starts to impact your daily life for an extended period, it could be a sign of a mental illness. Depression and anxiety disorders are prevalent and can be debilitating, but there are safe and effective treatments available to manage these conditions.

Cornerstone Family Practice Bungendore has a particular interest in supporting patients with depression and anxiety disorders and can provide guidance and support throughout the treatment process. If you have a mental health disorder, your doctor may suggest initiating a GP Mental Health Care Plan. The GP Mental Health Care Plan offers rebates for up to ten individual and ten group allied mental health services per calendar year to patients with a diagnosed mental disorder who are referred by your doctor. These services include psychological assessment and therapy provided by a clinical psychologist.
